This 2-day workshop is approved by Texas Parks and Wildlife for initial permit qualification, and covers basic wildlife rehabilitation skills, wildlife rehabilitation permits and regulations, handling calls about wildlife and captive care from intake procedures through release, for healthy orphaned small mammals (i.e. squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, opossums). Please note this workshop does not address bird rehabilitation. This workshop does not guarantee that participants will qualify for a wildlife rehabilitation permit.
