This course is approved by TXDSHS for 2 CE hours for Animal Control officers, and by TPWD for 2 CE hours for TX permitted wildlife rehabilitators. Understanding how to calculate the appropriate amount of food, subcutaneous fluids, and medications to administer to orphaned, ill, or injured wildlife is critical to ensuring a positive outcome. In this 2-hour workshop, participants will learn how to correctly calculate fluid volumes for rehydration, formula volumes for feeding young wildlife, and dosages for commonly used medications through discussion of calculation formulas and practice exercises.

This course will consist of a lecture and class discussions of practical applications. The class fee includes virtual classroom instruction, the class manual, and any other materials given during class. Course manual and Zoom session link will be sent via email upon payment.
